IX Charity Dinner of the Balms Children Foundation

Along the lines of previous events, the funds raised are aimed to support projects of international cooperation that the Balms Children Foundation is developing in Colombia and Peru, in order to protect human rights of children in both countries.

• In Peru it is continually being worked in collaboration with the association of former students of the college Apóstol de Santiago de Vigo. The objective of this project is to collaborate to the sustenance of two educational centres, to which more than 800 girls and boys are attending.
• In Colombia, we developed the project ‘House of Values’ in the neighborhood Paraíso de Ciudad Bolívar, Bogota, with the purpose of fortifying those values and principles that will allow girls and boys living in that neighborhood to become agents of change in their communities.

The work those two projects are doing is benefitting more than 1.200 girls and boys who live in danger of exclusion and in a situation of vulnerability. The aim of the Balms Children Foundation is to protect the rights of minors, to make it possible for these children to grow up in a healthy environment in which their human rights are protected, and to promote their development and that of their community.

For the Balms Children Foundation this annual charity event supposes a contribution of needed resources that will allow the Foundation to keep working in the defense of children’s rights in both countries, Peru and Colombia.
